Dan White is Associate Director of Budget and Administration at The Kennan Institute. Dan manages The Kennan Institute budget and performs administrative assistance for the Director. Dan's research focus includes Russian national security policy and its strategic partnerships with China, Iran and North Korea.

Dan holds masters degrees from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), the Naval Postgraduate School, and the University of Washington, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Central Florida. Dan is a former officer in the United States Army and a veteran of the War in Afghanistan.

Dan maintains a newsletter, OPFOR Journal, which documents, analyzes and anticipates the foreign policies of Russia, China, Iran and North Korea and catalogues their cooperation.
