From 2021 to 2025, Jon Finer served as Principle Deputy National Security Advisor. He has also served as Chief of Staff and Policy Planning Director at the U.S. Department of State. He is the host, with Jake Sullivan, of the Long Game, a podcast on Vox Media. He has worked as Global Head of Geo-Poltical and Policy Affairs at Warburg Pincus LLC. Prior to his government service, he was a foreign and national correspondent for the Washington Post.
