A conversation with Nathan Hutson and Tetyana Samiliv, of the Ro3kvit Urban Coalition for Ukraine, on the most recent conversations being held and actions being taken to rebuild Ukraine. This includes the German Marshall Fund's Ukraine Cities Partnership for Sustainable Local Recovery, a coalition of transatlantic, cross-sector partners committed to supporting the sustainable, resilient, and inclusive recovery of up to three smaller Ukrainian cities. By focusing on these smaller cities, or hromadas, UCP addresses a critical gap in international recovery assistance to Ukraine while reinforcing the country’s 2014 decentralization reform. The conversation also includes takeaways from the recent Ukraine Recovery Conference, and highlights the latest thinking on integrating the voices of Ukraine's citizens in the reconstruction efforts.
