Elizabeth Culp
Elizabeth Culp is The Kennan Institute’s Associate Director of Programs. She holds a BA in Russian Studies from Haverford College and an MA in Eurasian, Russian, and Eastern European Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. Since 2023 she has been a member of the National Endowment for Democracy’s Eurasia Programs team, focusing on Russia and Central Asia. She has previously held positions at American Councils for International Education, the U.S. State Department, and Democratic Initiatives Foundation in Kyiv. Her research focuses on civil society across the region, Russia’s state sponsored youth movements, and linguistic policy in Ukraine.
