Charles Crabtree
Charles Crabtree is Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in the School of Social Sciences at Monash University and K-Club Professor at University College, Korea University. Previously, he was Assistant Professor in the Department of Government at Dartmouth College, where he was a faculty affiliate with the Department of East European, Eurasian, and Russian Studies. He is a Center Associate at Harvard University's Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies. Crabtree's research examines intergroup relations and conflict, focusing on measuring discrimination across understudied identity groups and underexplored contexts. His work on the former Soviet Union includes experimental studies of censorship by Russian private media firms, language and perceived discrimination in Estonia and Latvia, and citizen responses to state propaganda and surveillance. His research has appeared in the American Political Science Review, the American Journal of Political Science, the British Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, Nature Human Behavior, the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, and Public Administration Review, among more than forty journals.
